Wednesday Gaming – Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Game Ban, God of War and MORE!

Catch up on the latest news, rumours and announcements from the world of video games, tech and entertainment:

– According to Ubisoft, “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” has crossed over two million player activations, making it the video game franchise’s second highest-selling title at launch. It has surpassed 2018’s “Odyssey”, which boasted 62 000 concurrent players at launch.

– Despite initial reports claiming that the upcoming horror game, “Silent Hill f”, has been banned in Australia after being refused classification, the Australian Classification Board has since confirmed that this is not the case. They explained that the game was designated as “Refused Classification” by the automated IARC Global Rating Tool rather than by actual board members.

– For what it’s worth, reports indicate that a new “God of War” game will be released later this year. It is said to be a spin-off that is set in Ancient Greece and will launch on the PlayStation 5.

– Bethesda Softworks and Machine Games have confirmed that “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” will launch on the PlayStation 5 on 17 April 2025. Players who have pre-ordered the action-adventure game will gain early access on 15 April 2025.

– “Minecraft” is set to receive a “Vibrant Visuals” update, which will introduce features such as dynamic lighting, improved shadows and enhanced water reflections. It will be available soon for “Minecraft: Bedrock Edition” as an optional toggle for players.
